Boardsmill came away from Carlanstown last evening with two valuable championship points after a 21 point victory over a hapless St. Michaels side missing several of their regulars.

The sides exchanged two points apiece in the opening four minutes with Sinéad McCormack on target for the home side, however Boardsmill then set about their work with a brace of goals in a six minute spell and their dominance all over the pitch paid off with further brace of goals before the short whistle for a commanding 4-12 to 0-4 interval lead. Sinéad McCormack and Lorraine Curtis were on target with a further point apiece for St. Michaels.

The visitors emptied the bench for the second half and added 1-4 to their first half tally while McCormack (0-3) and Megan O’Brien (1-0) added to the St. Michaels tally. .
