When others recognize you and deem you to be entitled to be rewarded or recognized for your hard work, dedication and skills on of off the playing field, it is indeed an honour, I know as it happened to me in 2013. Receiving an award is a fantastic achievement and shows that you’re committed to the task in hand.
With regard to St. Michaels GFC players / members receiving awards over the years, Martin O’Connell is up there at the top table, however he has company at that table with fellow members who justifiably think as much of their award as Martin does of his sackful of awards.
